ABOUT ME

I understand the code.
But I think about the business behind it.

HOW I THINK

A website can work perfectly
and still perform badly as a business.

Development is only one part of ecommerce. A technically working store can still have a confusing buying journey, slow pages, weak product presentation, inaccurate tracking, or unnecessary friction before checkout.

That's why I don't look at the storefront as a collection of pages. I look at it as a complete system connecting the customer, the product, the technology, the marketing, and the data.

My job is to understand where that system is breaking down — then use development, UX, CRO, performance, and tracking to improve the parts that actually matter.

BACKGROUND

Technical foundation.
Ecommerce focus.

My background is in Computer Science and software development, which gave me the technical foundation to understand how digital products are built — not just how to customize them.

Over time, my focus moved deeper into ecommerce — especially Shopify — where development decisions directly affect customer experience, marketing, operations, and conversion.

Working close to marketing and ecommerce operations also changed how I approach development. I care about what happens after the website goes live: what customers do, what the data says, and where the business is losing opportunities.

WHAT I BRING

One store.
Multiple perspectives.

  • Development

I understand the technical structure behind the storefront and how to build solutions that are maintainable, scalable, and practical.

  • Customer Experience

I look at how customers navigate, discover products, understand offers, make decisions, and move toward checkout.

  • Conversion

I look for friction that can make customers hesitate, abandon the journey, or miss important buying information.

  • Performance

I consider speed and technical performance part of the customer experience — especially on mobile.

  • Tracking & Data

I care about whether analytics, pixels, and events are giving the business a reliable picture of what customers are actually doing.

  • Business Context

I try to understand the commercial goal behind the task before deciding what should be built or changed.

HOW I WORK

Fix the right problem
before building the solution.

  1. Understand first

Before touching the code, understand the business, the customer, and what the store is actually trying to achieve.

  2. Prioritize impact

Not every issue deserves the same attention. Focus first on what can meaningfully affect the experience or the business.

  3. Keep it measurable

Where possible, decisions should connect back to performance, customer behavior, tracking, or a clear business objective.

  4. Build for what comes next

A solution should work today without making tomorrow's growth harder.

I like working at the point where development, ecommerce, and marketing meet — because that's usually where the most interesting problems are.

SELECTED WORK

Stores I've helped
build and improve.

Selected ecommerce projects across Shopify development, UX, performance, tracking, and conversion optimization.

How I improve stores

The gap between a store
and a converting store.

Conversion work is diagnostic before it's creative. I identify where customers drop off, form a hypothesis grounded in UX principles, then build and measure the change.

Product Page

Problem

Customers reach the product page but still don't have enough clarity or confidence to make a purchase decision.

Change

Improve product hierarchy, buying information, trust signals, variant selection, and CTA visibility.

Why it works

It reduces the uncertainty between product interest and the decision to add to cart.

Ecommerce outcome A clearer and more confident buying experience.

Mobile Buying Journey

Problem

The store looks good visually, but important actions become harder to find or use on smaller screens.

Change

Simplify navigation, improve hierarchy, prioritize buying actions, and remove unnecessary friction.

Why it works

Most ecommerce traffic is mobile, so small usability problems can affect a large part of the buying journey.

Ecommerce outcome A faster, easier path from landing page to checkout.

Tracking Accuracy

Problem

Marketing platforms receive incomplete or inconsistent ecommerce data, making campaign performance harder to evaluate.

Change

Review pixels, events, tag management, and analytics implementation across the customer journey.

Why it works

Better measurement creates a more reliable picture of what customers and campaigns are actually doing.

Ecommerce outcome Cleaner data for better marketing decisions.

How I work

Outcomes first.
Output second.

A process built around what actually matters — not just what gets shipped.

  1. Understand

Start with the business, the customer, and the actual problem — not the design.

  2. Audit

Review the store across UX, performance, tracking, technology, and conversion friction.

  3. Build & Improve

Prioritize the highest-impact opportunities and implement improvements across the storefront.

  4. Measure

Validate the experience, tracking, and performance so future decisions are based on what the store is actually doing.

What the work produces

Better results.
Measurable differences.

These are the kinds of outcomes development work produces when built around customer behavior.

Conversion

Less friction.
Stronger buying journeys.

Create clearer paths between product discovery, product evaluation, add to cart, and checkout.

CRO UX
Performance

A faster store feels like a better store.

Improve technical performance and remove unnecessary storefront weight that can hurt the shopping experience.

Performance Shopify
Data

Know what your store is actually doing.

Improve analytics and tracking foundations so ecommerce and marketing decisions rely on cleaner data.
